I just stumbled across your post here about my father, C. Scott Grow. His official name is Cecil Scott Grow, but his father’s name was Cecil, so he was always called Scott. Of course, when you sign official documents you have to use your full name, so that is where the C. comes in.
My grandpa Cecil’s middle name is a family name of Wood, so when you say it together it is Cecil Wood Grow (he is 6 foot 3 inches). His wife is Elsie May Grow and she is only 5 foot 2 inches. Obviously I have to be carefull what I name my children, so far nothing funny or weird.

Sorry granolagirl, my parents decided to name me Marc Patten Grow, with Patten being a family name on my mother’s side. My wife’s brother thought it would be funny if we named our first boy Broc Lee Grow, but we named him Adam instead.
