I had my first persimmon. It was okay. Not as sweet as I expected. Actually, most of the flavor appears to be in the skin which is slightly bitter but in a good way. Overall I give 3 our of 5 stars. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. I’m probably going to use the rest of them in smoothies.
Persimmon cookies?

You obvious got a not great one. GOOD persimmons are almost TOO sweet… and their skins taste like POISON.

Those are probably hachiya persimmons. I read the skin shouldn’t be eaten on those ones.
