I grew up eating them. My grandma had a pomegranate tree in her yard or something. Now they’re everywhere and I feel like I’m in highschool saying, “well I liked them first!” to defend my coolness. Because fruit makes me cool. Their downside is harvesting the seeds. It’s a pain. But worth it, if you ask me. They’re excellent with whipped cream.

You’re really having to stretch for topics now huh?

I didn’t have it all the time or anything, but I do remember my dad bringing a couple home when I was about 7 years old. That was my first experience. I thought it was the strangest, most wonderful treat. When I see them in the produce department now, I always consider getting one. BECAUSE I CAN. Kind of like when you first start shopping as an adult and you pass the candy aisle. You KNOW you can buy whatever you want… you can even buy a POMEGRANATE!

It never occurred to me to have a pomegranate tree at your home. How awesome would that be?
I grew up with them too, they were a favorite of my dad’s. But man, when I was pregnant, I craved them all. the. time. It was one of the more random cravings.
